NOTHING IN NATURE COMES IN ONE.

In our infinite multiverse, everything that can happen, eventually happens. All available outcomes, in a compressing and expanding ocean of infinite realities. Our singular existence censored from our multiversal clones, living in the neighbouring universes. As we navigate through the absolute, we wonder — how is it done? How do we know we’re in the right life? We only know the lives we lived and if anything — memory is a faulty tool.

Through the nihilistic noise of unwavering entropy, it’s sometimes hard to hear the music.

For the last eighteen years Moraines have been fighting our failed futures, which have been at our throats at all times.

Taking shapes of false promises, illusive ecstasy, misdirected anger, brotherly disappointment and toxic resentment — they pretended to be us. They made decisions in our name, ruined relationships and collapsed timelines. Their game was cunning, often invisible, making us firmly believe it was us.

Sacrificing a whole musical career for one record was a war we waged on ourselves for an ideal that wasn’t shared, but for some reason to this day — maintained. As time passed, it became obvious you can’t kill something that's dead.

What was to give light, had to endure burning. So we listened to the whisper within. Its knowledge from the future was our roadmap to save history.

This record is a testament of brotherhood under existential hardship. A time capsule of all the reconnections that brought us here. As the counterpart universes pressed against, we never let go. We turned all our failures into a victory. Every song, a fragment of our soul. Every failed dream, a broken beat. Every shedding of skin, a forgotten riff.

More than a decade in the making, our music is proof of what’s in a name. Moraines, the slowest moving structure on the planet. An instrumental journal from encounters with cosmic horror. It is also a recording of more than a decade of our lives, from searching for musical sense within the noise, to capturing it on a medium and manipulating the spectrum to its final shape. This record is our investigation of musical creation, set free of formal constraints and preconceits.

Which now, in celebration of our band reaching adulthood, we finally present to you.

A word on the mental and visual paraphernalia used to bring about the final design (by Ivorin Vrkas):

We’re on a trip through captured fragments of time, delving deeper and deeper into the vagueness. We live as older versions of ourselves and have yet to become even more so, slowly creeping into non-existence. Youth overlaps old age, blurred recollections and movements through space and time are our identities as cosmic horror reaches out for us. The past is warm and bright and lies to us, even though we can’t even hear it — we hear the now. The gravity of now, of possibilities lost in the liminal spaces between formed realities.
